After spending most of her twenties working really hard, saving up, and traveling the world, Juniper had an opportunity of a lifetime to purchase the property that she had been renting for about seven years. The former owner of the property is a dear friend of Juniper's and he made it very accommodating for her to make the purchase. Inside of a year Juniper and her crew of family and friends (all of which are local craftsmen/women) were able to pull off a truly amazing accomplishment.

Using the footprint and some walls of an old building on the property they added on and remodeled the structure into what we are today calling a "hip and unique boutique Inn". Throughout her travels she stayed in hotels, hostels, hospedajes, palapas, pensiones, guesthouses, bungalows, tents, huts, and whatever fun and interesting option came along the way. Always making her way back home to San Juan Island where she was born and raised and has family that dates back five generations.

Creating a hybrid of an Inn/hotel/hostel was a niche that certainly hadn't yet been filled on the island but has proven to be something people were looking for. It has been a dream come true for her to be the proprietress of such a special place and to meet people from all over the world.
